Biographies: DJ Stubbs

 Born at the dawn of time and raised by a family of domesticated orangutans in the heart of the San Fernando Valley, DJ Stubbs remains an enigmatic missing link and, to this day, can’t remember his actual name.  Realizing that nobody wanted to sit and listen to/read his god-forsaken poetry the whole time…he decided to make himself a three-dimensional character, posing as a musical entity. 

 He is the Bullwinkle to Buff’n’Blow’s Rocky, the Butthead to his Beavis, the Lomb to his Bauch, and very rarely the Roy to his  Sigfried.

 DJ Stubbs has a large array of influences, but most notably:
Old school punk and Oi!
Black, gloom, and death metal
Classic rock
Oldies and Motown 
Jazz
And Drum’n’Bass

 DJ Stubbs gets much of his inspiration from the abhorrent amount of movies he watches, both good and bad.  But the best inspiration comes from the worst movies.  Comb through the video store’s horror and martial arts library (and if they have it, old cartoons from the 50s and 60s) and you’re liable to find a good chunk of Stubbs’ sampling repertoire.

 He enjoys sunsets and long walks on the beach.  In his spare time, he looms and crochets.
